Action Reflection Domenic noto

For my action, I wrote a letter to Senator Joe Simitian informing him on my views about the injustice of media bias. I chose to write to Senator Simitian for a couple of reasons. Mainly, I understand that stopping media bias is almost impossible, but if anyone has the power to stop it, politicians do. I also wrote to him because he is a local senator, and might actually pay attention to my letter, which probably would be unlikely if I wrote to a national senator or congress person.
By writing this letter I hope that Senator Simitian will attempt to call some attention to this issue. Because of the freedom of speech in America, news stations can slant their news stories I anyway they want to. Even though this is not illegal, it is an injustice. Hopefully my letter to Senator Simitian will open his eyes o the injustice of media bias, and push him to pursue change. I believe that my action was successful, but I cannot tell for sure just yet, because it hasn't reached Senator Simitian yet.
Taking action on this justice issue has changed how I view my role in the world. Before this, I thought that I could not cause change anywhere. This project has showed me that I can cause change, and now I plan on acting on more injustices in the world. This project has showed me that my voice is heard by others and that I can make a difference.
